EURO 2020: Turkey vs Italy 0-3
Friday, 11 June 2021, in the first match of the European Football Championship 2020, Italy defeated with the score of 3-0 the national football of Turkey.
In the first half, the Turks did well on the defensive phase and did not score, at the break the score was 0-0. The Italians demanded the shot from 11m several times but the replays did not prove them right. The possession belonged to Italy, being the team that kept the whole rhythm of the game.
The second half was much more spectacular, Italy managing to open the score in the 53' minute following an own goal by defender Demirel. The other two goals came in the 66' and 79' minutes through Ciro Immobile, the striker from Lazio and Insigne, Napoli's midfielder, both players scoring for the first time in a final tournament for Italy.
Italy started this final tournament with the right and with the victory obtained against Turkey it secured its first place in the group
