Eupen vs Anderlecht Prediction and Preview (31.07.2021)

Kehrwegstadion will host the duel between Eupen vs Anderlecht in the second round of the Jupiler League on Saturday at 19:45. Although Eupen is not one of Belgium's strongest teams, Anderlecht have only managed to prevail once in all six away games. Both teams produced surprises in the first stage, Eupen drawing away with Club Brugge, score 2-2, while Anderlecht suffered a shameful defeat, score 3-1 with St. Gilloise, on his own ground.

Eupen was close to a big surprise, getting a point from the confrontation with Club Brugge away. In the first half the match was very balanced and they entered the booths with the score of 0-0. In the second half, however, Club Brugge opened the first score through Dost in the 56th minute, which converted a shot from 11 m, but Eupen managed to return the score through goals scored in the 60th and 77th minutes. The match was extended inexplicably for a long time, so Club Brugge managed to equalize in the 90 + 15 minute.

Anderlecht was the negative surprise of the first stage, being defeated at home, 1-3 by the newly promoted team, St. Gilloise. Although the guests came after an incredible series of 29 unbeaten games, nine of which were friendly, Anderlecht did not take them too seriously. The guests were the first to open the score, but Anderlecht managed to equalize until the break, the score being 1-1. In the second half, Anderlecht played very poorly, and St. Gilloise took advantage and scored twice in the 62nd and 73rd minutes.
