On the other hand, Denmark was not quoted with very high chances to reach this phase of the competition. Despite all these problems, Denmark went on to lose in the first two games, 1-0 to Finland and 2-1 to Belgium. In the decisive match with Russia, Denmark played the best match from Euro 2020 and qualified in the eighth. The duel with Wales promises to be a balanced one, but Denmark took full advantage of the Welshmen's mistakes and won the match with the score of 4-0.
