Dani Alves set for talks with Manchester United

Few days ago, Dani Alves’s agent while expressing her frustrations with the way Barcelona are keeping mute on the future of her client hinted that she would now be considering offers from new employers. It appears that she has already set a plan in motion because according to the Daily Express, the Brazilian’s agent is set to hold talks with Manchester United’s representatives over a possible move in the summer which according to the same source is highly probable especially with the eagerness of manager, Louis van Gaal to introduce some experience into his team’s defence.

Since the last summer’s transfer window, there has been very intense rumours linking Alves to Old Trafford but the fact that he will become a free transfer option in the summer unless Barcelona have a change of mind has led to the news about him switching to Manchester intensifying over the last few days. In fact the Telegraph speculates that the deal might come through in the summer and even went as far has tipping him to be very successful at the club.

Another major reason why United might consider this deal is the opportunity to hire such an experienced and trusted full-back without having to pay a dime although what the club intends to save in terms of transfer fees might actually go into his hefty wage structure seeing as the Brazilian earns quite a lot at the Catalans.
